Community guidelines

These guidelines keep the forum useful and friendly. The full version lives on the guidelines page.

1. Be neighborly. Assume good faith and disagree with ideas, not people.
2. Speak from experience. Say whether you've used a service yourself. Only post reviews of things you have experienced first-hand.
3. Disclose connections. If you own, work for or are paid by a business you mention, say so.
4. No promotion or spam. No paid posts, no fake reviews, no sock-puppet accounts.
5. Protect privacy. Don't post private people's addresses, phone numbers, license plates or photos of children.
6. Cite sources. Link to a primary source for factual claims about rules, fees, laws or dates.
7. Emergencies aren't forum topics. Call 911.
